Last year on this day we played outside. Today, I am trying to distract them, because I couldn't get the clothes clean after the last mud puddle adventure. It is 60 degrees today...warmer than last year, I am guessing, because of Suvi's hat.
They both love to dig in my little garden in front of the house. I have tulips there, but they mangled them pretty good, so it looks like we might have 2 or 3 flowers opening soon! The storm last night woke Suvi a couple times. I am kind of a wimp for storms myself, so i have great compassion for the 2 year old who calls me from her crib, and says, "I scared." She didn't even cry, but she was definitely not fired up on the thunder and lightening! I was smiling thinking how we'd be seeing a greener day today! I peeked out the window to see if the tulips felt encouraged by the overnight soaking. Maybe I should go out and talk to them...tell them it will be worth the struggle. I see 3 white blooms 2 doors down. I'll just have to enjoy the neighbor's toddler free flowers :)

I love a scared little baby crawling into bed with me. Don't love that they are scared, but I love that I can make them feel safe. It's an honor, isn't it?
Try singing to the tulips. That'll bring them up. The neighbors will be peeking from behind their curtains, sending the "men in the white coats" to come and get you. ha.
