You gotta play to win.

here it is.  my 500th post. (cascade of confetti)
my plan was a playful, celebration post...can you believe it?  five hundred?
my plan was a little fishing for interaction from my readers.  i am longing for some participation!
it isn't coming to me...how can i draw some reaction from my readers?  i googled contests.  i kind of liked this one:
Construct a sentence of at least 6 words where every word starts with the same letter. (ex-super sweet softball shoes should shine)
You cannot use a letter if another contestant has already made a sentence with that starter letter.  Unless all 26 letters have already been used.
what do you think?  are you ready to play to win?  i want some InSPIRaTion!  eLeVaTiOn! intervention? why not.  i want to see your creation.  enjoy your contribution. so,if you want to celebrate, if you want to enter a drawing to win this,

then you'll have to play along with me. you can enter by emailing me. (please use 'ethiopifinn' in the subject) or by commenting on this post with some mamAlliteration.  i want photos.  something wonderfully wonderful or horrendously ugly.  i don't care which way the wind blows, i just thrive on the movement.  seriously, if you want something from me, you have to knock my socks off.  i want an inspirational story/experience/hope.  i like limericks! a super fabulous joke? (no s-e-x or poopoo or boogies.  i'll delete right after i puke.)  why not compile a group of fan-freaking-tastic hairdos!?  OR. a mother-in-law story, in honor of my VIP.  (i roasted the coffee beans for mine today.  she was tres impressed.  go jenny.  go jenny.)  i like top five and top ten lists. just give me something, for crying out loud.  i want to laugh, i want to cry, i want to snort, i want to sigh.  yes.  the contest is to draw a reaction from me with your contribution. me, the Queen of Everything.  or we, the Queen of Ethiopifinn.
i'll give you til next friday, september 23rd. a weener will be posted on monday, september 26th-ish.

Oooh, I could really use some juicy hair supplies. I was going to get a few things last night at Walmart and forgot. What a fun prize.

I got a good start on your gallery this morning. I intend to finish it by the end of the day. If you go to www.britacarolinephotography.com, click on galleries, then client galleries, the Jenny and Habtamu, there are your cuties. When I did the blog post, I scanned through and grabbed ones that caught my eye. Now in the final edit, I'm falling in love with certain pictures even more than the ones I posted. You have some HARD decisions ahead of you. :) I'll let you know when it's complete, but feel free to check out what I've done so far.

I'll enter your contest on my blog. :)

Ethiopifinn asked us to play along
to rhyme or share or sing a song
but s-e-x, poop or boogies, no way
is what the instructions did say
so this limerick is probably wicked wrong

I better write one before I forget
You and I have not ever met
But the prize is so great,
forbid I be late
I might get to win something yet!

There once were two back-country geezers
Who got porcupine quills up their sneezers
They sat beak to beak
For nearly a week
Working over each other with tweezers

Brita is a big cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater!

Who can compete with the super cute-alicious kidlets that you have?!

Ugh. Now I have to come up with something extra knock-your-socks-off. Hmmph. I'll be back.

As I sit here, thinking, "I will have to REALLY come up with a good one."

The phone next to me rings. I look at caller ID. J**n***r T**i*u is coming up. I am SERIOUS! I answer and hear "ga. ga. blah blah."

I am pretty sure that was Judah calling to say that I already won! Thank you, Judah!

PS. I am back to thinking again.....

Two elderly ladies had been friends since their 30s. Now in their 80s, they still got together a couple of times a week to play cards. One day they were playing gin rummy and one of them said, "You know, we’ve been friends for many years and, please don't get mad, but for the life of me, I can't remember your name. Please tell me what it is."

Her friend glared at her. She continued to glare and stare at her for at least three minutes. Finally, she said, "How soon do you need to know?"

I agree with Mindi. Brita is a cheater.

LOL. Just to clarify, my entry wasn't her adorb kids, it was the Lake Superior shoreline picture on my blog. Although, the kids idea is a tempting one...

Jenny, I just wanted to tell you that you're looking lovely this Monday morning!

Sue said...

hold on, weren't we supposed to do the letter thing? or am I stressing out on how to knock your socks off with the letter L and all I have to do is agree with Sharyn, "you are looking lovely this morning!"

Sharyn. Ha!
Brita. Ugh. Still cheater. (I might be a little jealous. That's brilliant.)

A Night Out With the Girls

Lately, lovely, liberated, ladies laughter littered low-priced luncheons.

What wacky, wild, wonderful words were wickedly whispered!

Grimacing, griping girls, grieving growing girths.

But beautiful beneath bulging, bugeoning bellied bluejeans.

Always apriciative and auspicious amongst an average allied audience.

We will wonder warily what way we will wander wearily.

Yes, yearning yesterdays youth, yet yielding yonder yore!

(It starts to sound like a toungue-twister!)

Her highness, Mrs. Hilarious, has a handsomely hot husband. I'm just saying.

WOW! That outfit looks stunning on you, Jenny! And you are doing just wonderful with that VIP today. On your own! Nothing is better than you and your authentic self.

This is my third entry!! something goes weird and I lose everything I write in the verification process. Lucky for you I can't remember the first two. ;) Great stuff people!

Gobs of giddy girls giggling & gaggling in the goob!

Jenni, I never comment but always enjoy your writing.

Brita's blog broadcast beautiful bay, beaming...blissful.

Bette's blurb boasted brains because Bette's bright.

Sharyn schmoozed swiftly, saying sweet "stunning" stuff.

Mindizzle mentioned Mama's magnificient man

Every entry entertained...

leaving line like "lived, loved, lost...living life, loving Larry" lacking luster.

*no offense to those not mentioned, my brain is tired :)
